Hello, I'm Ian.

How many hats are you wearing today? Let me take the weight off your shoulders.

I've spent 25 years in digital, working with businesses of every size. I'll look after your website, systems and suppliers, build what you need next, and explain it all in plain English, without the jargon.

I’ve run agencies for most of my life. Now I can be your mini agency.

What I do

Three things, one person.

I use high-level, practical and cost effective methods for you, and your business to overcome almost any challenge.

You don't need a department. You need someone who knows how it all fits together, and who'll actually pick up the phone.

01

Manage

Everything you already run on, looked after properly.

  • Your website and apps
  • Hosting, domains and email
  • The tools and logins you rely on
  • Suppliers and freelancers, with one person to brief them (me)
  • Security, backups and updates
  • System architecture: how it all fits together

02

Build

The next thing, from an idea on a napkin to something that works.

  • Web & App Design & Build
  • New product lines and services
  • Calculators and quote tools for your customers
  • Forms and data capture that actually get used
  • Internal systems for your team
  • Concept to working model you can try first

03

Run smarter

Fewer repetitive jobs, clearer numbers, better decisions.

  • Automating the jobs nobody wants to do
  • Organising how your team works
  • Dashboards that show what matters
  • Complex data, shown clearly
  • Using what your customers actually do to decide what's next

What you run on

Your business has a digital side. Who's drawn the map?

Most businesses I meet have bits everywhere: a domain bought years ago, a website someone else built, email in one place, files in another, and a handful of suppliers who each know one piece.

I start by drawing the whole thing out, so you can finally see what you've got, who has the keys, and what needs sorting first.

Notes read "Who has the password?", "All synchronised" and "Does anyone still use this?". Why me

Not an agency. Just me.

You won't get passed around a team or handed an account manager. You get one person who's been doing this for 25 years, who knows what's worth fixing and what isn't, and who'll tell you straight.

Before (sound familiar?)

  • Password on a sticky note. Somewhere.
  • "Who built the website again?"
  • Three tools that do the same job
  • Domain renewal email: unread
  • That great idea, still on a napkin
  • You, fixing it all at 10pm

After

  • One clear map of everything you have
  • You own your domain, logins and data
  • Only the tools you actually need
  • Renewals, updates and security sorted
  • The new idea, built and working
  • One person to call: me

Ever feel like the sole survivor?

When you run a business, you end up doing a bit of everything. I know, because I've been there. You don't have to be the one holding the whole digital side together on your own. Digital done right can bring everything nicely together and automate a lot of your workload, and your team’s too.

How it works

How we get started. It's easy.

  1. We have a chat

Tell me what's driving you mad, what's costing too much and what you'd love to do next.

  2. I find the big wins

First, I look for the big wins: the changes that will save you the most time and money, or help you have more.

  3. We create the formula

Then we run as much as we can on autopilot, leaving you free to run your business and do the work you love.

Some of the businesses I've worked with

Big names, small independents and charities. Now I bring that same experience to small businesses, without the big-agency price tag.

That's me. Hello!

About me

I'm Ian. I like making things work.

I've spent 25 years in digital, working with businesses of every size, from household names to one-person start-ups.

Along the way I've built websites and apps, designed systems, managed teams and suppliers, and pulled messy data into something people can actually use. What I'm best at is seeing the whole picture, working out what matters, and getting it done.

I keep things simple. If I can't explain it in plain English, I haven't understood it well enough.

Fair questions

I'm not very techy. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. Most of the people I work with aren't. You know your business and I know the digital side. I'll do the techy bits and explain anything you need to know in plain English.

Isn't this going to cost a fortune?

No. Big agencies only give you one-to-one care if you pay big money. With me you get one person who genuinely cares about your business, and it won't cost the earth.

Do you do marketing?

Yes. I'll help you work out who your customers are, what to say to them and where to find them. Then I'll make sure your website, email and tools are all pulling in the same direction.

I already have someone for my website. Can you still help?

Of course. I'm happy to work with the people you already have. I'll keep everyone on the same page, so you're not stuck in the middle.

It's only one small job. Is that OK?

Yes. Small jobs are often where the big wins are hiding. Tell me what it is, and if I'm not the right person, I'll be honest with you.

Who do you work with?

I've worked with everyone from big names to local independents and charities. These days I focus on small businesses and owner-run teams.

go on...

What's the one problem you'd love me to solve?

Tell me what's going on. No forms, no jargon, just a conversation.
